esmenetKorra is so hot, I can't even deal. And I bet she gives the best hugs. And she gives pretty good speeches, too—oh my god it's Spike Spiegel. Eek. Steve Blum does a good villain voice.
Lin Beifong is also incredibly awesome and good-looking, I might add, and I am just waiting to write about her relationship with "my city". All the metalbending stuff is really cool, too.
I think Korra might not be super-used to worrying about property destruction? We saw at least one wooden building at the South Pole, but I'm betting the majority of the structures are made of ice & snow, or maybe rock. Intellectually, of course, Korra knows that you can't just bend glass back together, but her instinctive reactions might not take that into account.
Hah, I love that Tenzin considers pro-bending drivel. It's a mockery of real bending! he says, as Korra gazes longingly out the window and then tries to give him puppy-eyes.
"I'm about as opposite an airbender as you can get." I love this! She's all straightforward and practical, it's true. I wonder if she actually learned earth and fire first, before water? I was going to say she probably started with earth, but now I'm pretty sure it was fire, because she just tried to airbend with a firebending stance.
I want her to bond with the White Lotus guards over their mutual interest in sports.
Her complaining to Tenzin about the restrictions he's putting on her = a) she is such a teenager! It's cute! b) good point, actually.
Bolin and Korra = INSTANT BFFS. I love it. I LOVE IT. I love them! ♥
And Mako is so tired of Bolin's lady-killer ways. Pfft. I'm not sure if I like him yet or not, but I definitely love the faces Korra makes at him.
And I love how Korra just sets shit on fire when she gets mad. It just happens, okay!
I think she hit Tenzin's weak spot. I bet he's never taught a teenager before, so he's kind of worried about how he's doing and tries to overcompensate by being strict.

Right now I am kind of anticipating Tenzin either locking her up or kicking her out. Either way, I think she may be living in the arena attic with Bolin and Mako for a while.

I think overall my favorite thing about this episode (well, these episodes, but it feels like one) was Korra and Bolin's interactions. They are so great! I BFF-ship them. I hope they buy a house together and spend hours terrorizing their neighbors. SO PERFECT.
I really love Bolin's personality! I knew I was going to, but I was surprised at how much. The way he reacts to things like Korra's "Oh, you're still a jerk?" and just . . . he reacts big, if that makes any sense. He's kind of like me, but with better muscles!
I also loved the moment when Korra figured out that she needed to move differently—not even necessarily that it was an airbending move, just that she needed to change the way she was going about things. That was beautiful.
As is all the music and scenery, of course. And I positively adore the clothing styles!

I'm not sure I like that the show is trying to get me to ship Korra/Mako. I mean, I guess I can see it, but I'd really rather not have a focus on romance? And if there was one, I'd rather it be on something light-hearted and friendly like Korra/Bolin or something ground-breaking like Korra/Asami. When it comes right down to it, though, I'm sure I'll love this show no matter who gets with whom.
