Dec. 5th, 2010 05:45 pmA few months back, a friend of mine lent me the first season of Stargate: SG-1. In that time, I have watched three episodes, the last of which was so fail-y I actually cried (while yelling at the screen). Imperialism and inaccuracy, hooray. -_-
So, my question: do I try to watch the rest, deconstructing as I go? Do I pop my friend's bubble of enjoyment by saying "this has too much fail, I can't stand it"? Or do I semi-lie and say I just don't have enough time to watch the rest of it?
The first one is probably a worthwhile pursuit, but I'm not sure I'm up to it. Thoughts?

Date: 2010-12-06 09:56 am (UTC)I wouldn't go too much into detail as to why you didn't like it, unless they seemed interested and asked why.
I don't think you should mask the fact that you didn't like it and I think it could be potentially problematic if you mislead her about the time matter, but I think if you make a big deal about the criticism of the show, then she might take it as criticism of herself.
Although I used to like star gate - I don't think star gate is worth your time when there are many other shows that you can watch and would likely get more out of.
