Aaaand so my dad just got laid off/fired (we're not sure which yet) from his job. Great, now we have to *actively* worry about money . . . *sigh* And I can't actually get a job for another year. Oh well, it's not something it will do any good to really worry over.

On the bright side, both Cowboy Bebop and Serial Experiments Lain are AWESOME. *lurves Spike*

I hope your dad will be okay. Will he be able to get another job?

I feel so guilty that I don't have to worry about money, since both my parents work for the government, and they don't really lay off people.

But! Cowboy Bebop really is awesome, isn't it? I love it so much. Have you seen the entire series?

I've never heard of Serial Experiments Lain. Should I watch it? Since I actually have time to now?

Not yet. I'm on episode ten or so -- I'm watching alternate episodes of it and Lain. Which, yes, you should definitely watch. Be warned: there's lots of silence. Not just little pauses; you will sometimes go for several minutes without anyone actually talking or any music playing.

Also, it may make you slightly phobic of your computer and the internet.

As for my dad . . . :/ We really don't know. He had the same job for a really long time, about ten years, and now they don't want to pay someone experienced. He's one of those people who's really good at dealing with 'problem' kids, so probably . . . we just don't know if he'll be able to find one here. I really hope we don't have to move. That would suck . . .

. . . You know, I think Cowboy Bebop is the only show I've happily watched the English dub for. That is some good voice acting there.

I've never seen the English dubs for CB, actually. I just know the original voice acting is fantastic. Especially the way Jet says Spike's name whenever he's exasperated.

Uh-oh. I kind of completely depend on my computer and the internet for everything ever. Maybe I will when I have time...

I hope it goes well with your dad. Is he a teacher? Social worker?

I also depend on my computer and the internet. :D The streaming site I'm currently using only has CB in English, and I'm planning to go find it again and watch it all in Japanese when I'm done. (I imagine it will be like Utena; I will savour their voices.)

Social-worker-ish. There's a place in our town dedicated entirely to taking care of 'problem' kids, and that's where he worked before. Now we think he's going to do a side-project-thing he was doing for them full time, and it will be boring but we'll have enough money to get by.
