"Do you want to ask me how I knew that?" Detective Bell YOU ARE SO PERFECT
wow I am actually trusting this show to deal with Chinese gambling and not fuck it up, this never happens
Is it just me or are the extras in that scene not very good at speaking Mandarin? Those consonants sounded pretty English-accented. I'm proud of myself for noticing, cause my own accent is still pretty bad.
Am I over-exaggerating Holmes & Watson's affection for each other? Not that I mind if I am, it's sort of what I do, but I'm just not sure. Either way, I am interpreting that scene where she gives him the tea her mother used to make and he gives her that arrest report as 'you got me a thing! here look I also got you a thing!'
I am loving this subplot of Joan The Investigator.
Why didn't they ask the TA first thing where he got all that money? Like, I am not in academia but I get the idea that TAs are not usually rich enough to pay off their rent, never mind a hitman.
Holmes and Watson are super bad at noticing each others' boundaries, aren't they? Or they do notice, and then keep pushing. But they do seem to be getting better about noticing how far is too far.
Also can we just talk about a) Holmes admitting he was wrong and b) how damn guilty he looks about putting Ms Ramirez in a position where she may be deported. I'm sorry I keep comparing this show to BBClock, but: LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE. (hint: Elementary is the one that portrays the criminals and victims as ACTUAL PEOPLE.)
JOAN BACKSTORY JOAN BACKSTORY yes THANK YOU SHOW
I love how much these cases are becoming not Joan-helps-Sherlock-solve-things-by-listening-to-him-talk (*cough* BBC *cough*) but rather Joan-and-Sherlock-solve-things-with-KNOWLEDGE.
I also love how much this show ships Joanlock without actually shipping it in any kind of canon way. Yes, show! I want them to live together and solve cases together and have a platonic happily-ever-after with hugs and jazzercize TOO.
