This is totally irrelevant to everything, and I'm not even in this fandom, but I want to get it out to the internet so it will stop buzzing round my head:

The only way I can think about Supernatural without getting really incredibly angry is to pretend that yes, they're currently having a white Christian apocalypse, and that world has been WASP-centric this whole time, but this time next year in that universe everybody is going to be bowing to the Jade Emperor and worrying about making sure there's red everywhere for the new year. And it will have been that way all along, just as it's been Christian all along, it just won't have always been that way yesterday.

...You saying that made me want to write it, but all I have is 璐咇 (lùbì, Ruby, who seems to be a demon-turned-hero-turned villain in canon) possibly being one of the Kings of Hell, and instead of throwing salt & holy water at things you have to chant sutras. And and and also! People don't 'hunt' supernatural things as such, they just become traveling priests.

Hmmm. Maybe I could do something with that, despite refusing to go near the canon!

Ha! I have watched all of, oh, maybe five episodes of Supernatural, but nonetheless I am SUCH A FAN of this whole theory.

I have watched all of none! I managed to learn enough about it to know that it would make me super angry, so I just dived straight into the fic.
