So, with my fma_ladyfest fic done and my help_pakistan one on hold until I re-watch more of Utena, and with me totally avoiding my schoolwork, and with me still owing pseudo_tsuga  an Aang drabble, now is obviously the perfect time for a writing meme!

I don't promise to actually write anything (though I'm certainly going to try) but I think I can at least discuss a premise? Anything is fine.

Whoa, how did I not remember you owed me a drabble? It's like receiving a present for a holiday I knew nothing about :D Take all the time you want, i don't want it to be a cause of stress.

Oh, man, I have just started watching Utena and it is SO AWESOME. The AWESOMEST. Also, now I know where your icon comes from!

Also: FMA, sob, the first manga I ever read end to end in something resembling real time (um, if you see what I mean). Anyway, I am glad to hear there is a ladyfest and I'll be looking out for your fic.

The Shadow Play Girls! :D Best Greek Chorus ever. Utena is kind of my favourite thing ever and I really really want to squee about it with you! How far along are you?

You'll be able to tell which is mine just from the title, I'm sure. (By the way, just found someone doing a new Kokinshuu translation -- lnhammer provides lots of useful and interesting notes. Although my title is from someone else's version.)

I really want to do something about aca!Zuko verse-Yue for you, but I'm not sure if I should go do tons of research first or just dive right in. Hmmm. . . .

Yes! I love the Shadow Play bits SO MUCH. Also, the covered bridge just by the, um, shadow play place is, hilariously enough, some kind of riff on the Bridge of Sighs from my hometown, so it feels weirdly familiar whenever I catch a glimpse of it!

Alas, though, I'm going pretty slowly - I'm only on episode ten or thereabouts.

And thanks for the link to inhammer: there seems to be a lot of awesomeness over there!

And, oh yes, Yue sounds excellent. But so too does research, so, well, whatever takes your fancy...

I don't think there's anything I'd like to request right that isn't A. something I actually really want in canon (see icon) or B. something that will hopefully come out of fma_ladyfest (Mrs. Bradley fic. C'moooon, Mrs. Bradley fic *holds thumbs*), but let me offer commiseration on that urge to seek prompts. It's like - the act of writing anything is predicated on the act of writing something else!
