I forgot how much I love these characters

I spent basically all of yesterday texting eisen! Great fun was had. However, more importantly, I translated bits and pieces of the Utena audio drama for her! And then I remembered that I know other people with even less knowledge of Japanese than me who would probably like to know the contents of an UTENA AUDIO DRAMA. So here is what I translated yesterday! More to follow at some point.
Touga: If it cannot break the egg's shell
Utena(?): The chick will die without being born
Juri: We are the chick, the egg is the world
Anthy: If we cannot break the world's shell
Miki: We will die without having been born.
All sans Touga: Smash the world's shell!
All: For the sake of world revolution!
Basic summary: Utena attends a student council meeting, standing in for Saionji after his expulsion. They all record morning, evening and birthday messages for the students. It goes about how you'd expect.
(Note: Most of the time, ALL CAPS means an English word. Unless the character is very clearly shouting.)
I ended up not translating the first part with the morning messages, which is sad, because it contains Touga saying "GOOD MORNING, BABY." A definite project for the future!
Anthy and Utena invoke the Sword of Dios when Touga hits on Utena one too many times. He says "Tenjou Utena no THREE SIZES wa--" and then there is the sword-drawing music and they do the whole "rose of the noble castle" thing. Touga goes "Aaaa! Okay, okay, I got it."
Touga's answering machine message contains the words "give me your beautiful love, SWEET HONEY."
His goodnight message: "Oh, it looks like you can't sleep. If you have 'love troubles' and, well, sleeping by yourself feels too lonely, you can come and 'rest' with me. [something about 'asa' I can't catch] You can 'join' with me all the way . . . GOOD NIGHT, BABY."
Utena: ". . . Why did you say that while looking at me?"
Juri says "goodnight" in French at the end of hers, so Touga uses that as an excuse to say "Je t'aime means 'I love you' in French. Je t'aime, Utena."
Utena: "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Hey, Anthy, it's your turn."
Anthy says a bunch of bland nice goodnight stuff, and then CASTS A SPELL to make everyone really sleepy. Oh Anthy, ilu.
I couldn't catch any of Miki's goodnight message, but I don't feel too bad about that b/c Utena replies to it with "Wow, you really are a genius! I didn't understand a thing you said."
And then he talks about REM (RAPID EYE MOVEMENT (tapping noise) SWIMMING, actually) in great detail, and Touga says something along the lines of "Well, while he keeps babbling on in Genius-Ese (tensai-go), let's move on to the next item!"
Which is, apparently, love confession messages.
Touga: "I'll go first! :D"
Utena: "Wait. What the hell are you going to use these for? Love confessions have nothing to do with school!
Touga: "Well, if we can't confess our love, then the student body. . . ." (okay, this is not a very good translation, since I couldn't quite catch a couple of the words, but I think this is kind of what he meant? He says (****)sei no tame ni, at least.)
Utena: "LIES. TOTAL LIES. I'm not gonna do it."
Touga: "Okay. To you, I profess my total--"
Utena: "Wait a sec, Mr Student Council President."
And then Utena takes him over to the side and beats him up, and he complains about her being violent and not as sweet as she used to be.
After that, genre switch! To MYSTERY. Stuff happens, possibly to do with photos of Anthy. Miki is the culprit!
Touga: "Okay then! Kaoru Miki-kun, you must become a ROBOT DUELLIST."
Miki: "What did you say."
And then there is lots of yelling, incl. the words BE-PAPAS. I kind of gave up. ^ ^;; Someday I will attempt the whole thing, though.
