I've become almost entirely disinterested in white male characters, lately, so this is a reclist of characters of colour-centric fic only.

Most of these require little to no familiarity with canon.

DCU

This story is beautiful. So, so beautiful -- it hurts and it doesn't hurt and it makes me smile and feel alive.

I read this story and found it had reached inside me and settled in my heart, where it remains and always will. It is only a few paragraphs, but it resonates.

Scorched Earth Set around episode 13. How Scar manages to get through arriving at Central with no supplies and a dead body on his hands.

This is bleak and lovely and it made me love Scar's character in a way I didn't expect.

Trisha's Boys What if Trisha Elric had been Ishbalan?

I was thinking of writing a fic with this premise. After reading this one, I don't think there needs to be another.
