A while back, there was this one comment on a post about the "It Gets Better" project that rang very true to me. The content was essentially "It doesn't get better, you get better," which, yes. I don't know if the world is any better or worse as a whole than it was five years ago, but I'm so much better at dealing with many things in my life than I used to be.
