This line gave me a very immediate reaction of yes goddammit I would. Because I know what she's getting at, the next line says it right out, but if I were doing anything other than directly saving more lives I'm pretty sure violence towards the innocent would stop me right away.

Kuei is endearing himself to me more and more, though. Keep teasing your Dai Li about marriage! Keep trying to help people! \o/

I really like her author's notes this time around, oddly enough. Usually they're either pretty faily or rather condescending (or both) but I kind of love the one about rescuers & noble intentions. Because yes.

And I'm super super looking forward to what Zuko & co. are going to do next. Vathara writes really good action scenes, whether or not there's any physical action going on. (Though if she gives us an Azula + Dangerous Ladies scene I'll be just as happy. If I were her editor my comments would mostly consist of NEEDS MORE AZULA.)

These last few chapters have been pretty good, actually. I still want more transitions in and out of scene changes, but I'm loving what's going on with the characters.

(If I were her editor, I would take her to task for her commas.)
