Reading James Burke books (though not more than a couple pages at once)

Getting my younger brother to like nonfiction (Bill Bryson!)

Buying my younger brother books he will like (Made In America by Bill Bryson, overdue from the library by about a month)

Independently acting in social situations (I went to lunch with my Japanese class + the first-year Japanese class, and had great fun!)

Paying for my own food at restaurants (. . . this should not really be an accomplishment, for all that I've only had to do it twice)

Surprising people with my age (People always go "What?!" when I tell them I'm under eighteen. It's super funny every time)

Getting someone I've known for an hour and a half to drive me home (My kouhai are super nice, y'all.)

Hey, now. Paying for one's own food in restaurants is totally an accomplishment. When I was in high school some friends and I ordered a pizza and I left a $5 tip. This...was not the best idea ever, and I had to learn Proper Food Paying Procedures.
