I forgot to do this yesterday, so here's both in one. ^ ^;;
Day 03 - Your favorite new show (aired this TV season)
and Day 04 - Your favorite show ever.
My favourite show ever is Shoujo Kakumei Utena. My other favourite show ever is House of Five Leaves. And they both count, because they're so completely different.
Utena is the show that made me want to analyze things and think about them and discuss them until I find myself arguing about the symbolic differences between coffins and eggs for hours at a time. It is something I can always talk about, and if I can't it's just because I need to rewatch the show/re-read Demian/study Jung/learn more about the history of the characters' names. It is a show that encourages dissecting and analyzing and crossovers, because you need to think about it.
House of Five Leaves is not like that. House of Five Leaves is the show that makes me want to go downstairs and cook dinner for my family, or hum to myself while cleaning the house, or just go sit outside and enjoy the weather. Because this is a show that makes me happy. I love the characters, I love the animation style, I love the story. I could talk about it for hours -- but I don't really want to. I just want to take this show and wrap it up in the corners of my heart and carry it around with me forever. It's that kind of thing.
