Everyone has already posted about the Deathly Hallows movie, so instead of talking about things like friendly dancing! the Three Brothers animation! the Ministry! this post is going to be about a distant side-effect.
So I've been reading HP fic almost nonstop since I saw the film this weekend, things like The Horse and Taniwha and all of Kirinin's fics, again. And I happened to read a Sirius/Hermione fic that takes place in fourth year, and I suddenly remembered that yes, I do have a full-out squeeing OTP ship. No, not Hermione/the Weasley twins. Or Hermione/Snape. Or even Hermione/Draco. I love all of these to shreds often enough, but . . . Look, usually "ship" for me means "I like this pairing as depicted here, here, and here, but I'd be perfectly happy -- if not happier -- to read fic that was just about them hanging out. Sometimes, however, there will be a pairing that makes me go OMG YESYESYES SQUEE *ship ship ship* <3 -- for example, Yankumi/Shin.
For Harry Potter, this ship is Hermione/Viktor Krum.
