Things I Have Learned Today:
1. Do not trust anyone who is taking you shopping if a) you have not asked them to, or b) they refuse to tell you how long it will take. No matter how much money they spend on you, you will regret it.
2. Swimsuits for H-cups are incredibly uncomfortable to get in and out of.
3. Fabric stores make me begin yawning after an hour and a half, never mind three.
4. I have a positively magnetic attraction to the colour pink, particularly when it is in the shapes of flowers, peace signs, and little curlicue hearts. All on one fabric.
5. I am very nearly incapable of writing KHR fic without lots and lots of genderswap. It's a thing.
Also, I have discovered a new squick! Well, not really a squick, but it's something I wish there were warnings for. I have kind of a Thing about characters who just won't listen -- no matter what you say to them about something, they won't hear a word of it. You could say "By the way, X says the sky is blue and ice cream is kind of awesome" and they'd use it to make a case as to why X is a terrible person and shouldn't be trusted. There are some characters like that, of course, and sometimes it's interesting to write them that way even if they weren't in canon. I just wish it were something I could know about going in.
I'm always scared of encountering people like that in real life, because I'm pretty sure their 'blind spot' would be me. (Or my friends, which would be even worse.)

Day 02 - A show that you wish more people were watching
Avatar: The Last Airbender, of course! Provided that more people = me.
I don't care if the internet has given me spoilers up to the third-to-last episode, this is one case where I actually want to watch the goddamn show. And considering how little I generally care about a series once I've gotten to the fanfiction, that's saying quite a lot.

It sounds like Gokudera could be a squick character to you. Or is it only when the obtuseness runs to bigotry, like say, with Petunia and Vernon Dursley from Harry Potter? I've seen people warn for stuff like the latter, in canons where you can't write the characters without throwing in a heap of racism/sexism/various offensive ideas.

Hmm, I don't know if it's characters like the Dursleys who really bother me. It tends to be the ones with a personal vendetta that really get to me, rather than the ones who have blanket prejudice. Like . . . Katara in most of Embers, or Lucy (from Chronicles of Narnia) in this fic. (http://bedlamsbard.livejournal.com/tag/dust)
