things you don't care about
Mar. 27th, 2010 10:14 pm You always hear about how much head wounds bleed, even if they're tiny. What no-one tells you is that toe wounds bleed just as much. >:| And then you don't even notice them for like five minutes because you just think "oh, I stubbed my toe again" and forget about it, and then later you look down and have a moment of Jesus Christ why is there like a tablespoon of red splashed all over my floor.
The little buggers don't even start hurting until you've gotten everything cleaned up. >:(
Also I'm stuck with Google Chrome wishing my computer would go back to liking Firefox again. I've gone and gotten used to things like having my 'tag this page and add it to Delicious' button right there, and having all my gajillion open tabs come right back up when I open the browser, and being able to actually italicize things as I type in rich text editors instead of having to go back and select things afterward.
Come back, Firefox! I know I haven't been the best user, I've made a lot of mistakes . . . but can you forgive me? I'll try harder not to open so many TVTropes links, I'll never take your AwesomeBar for granted again!
On a slightly different note, I wish I could figure out why my computer keeps crashing all the time. It's still under warranty, so I can go get it fixed, but I'd like to finish my overdue springtime_gen fic on an actual keyboard, and it would be nice to tell the computer guy "It crashes when I do this" instead of "It keeps crashing all the time for no apparent reason."

Things you might actually care about:
I've, uh, kinda spent the day reading meta instead of trying to do all the things I should have done two weeks ago. How did I not know the HP fandom had such interesting meta such as this? And this? And this?
(Fuck, I do have an awful lot of things that were due two weeks ago. )
I'm curious; does anyone else write the same way I do? Where I get an idea and I keep putting off the actual writing bit for ages and ages even though I enjoy it, in favour of trying to flesh things out in my head before putting anything down on GoogleDocs? (And do you ever end up putting the writing off so long the idea goes stale, like I do?)
BTW, are any of you guys on Dreamwidth? It's really nice, but I can't decide if the low number of members is good or bad . . . there's less content, but the content is pretty high-quality and it feels . . . closer than LJ, for lack of a better word. More insular, I guess.

Date: 2010-03-28 06:36 am (UTC)Firefox does keep crashing on me, especially if I have too many tabs and windows open (I'm the kind of person that will have a million of them open at the same time and never close them out). But even though I want to try Google Chrome, I can't because my version of Mac OS X won't support it. :/
I'm on Dreamwidth:
I have exactly one DW invite code; if you want it, it's all yours. ;-)
