this is the best fic_promptly theme ever

For those of you who don't follow that comm, allow me to inform you that fic_promptly's theme for today is magic. Go forth and leave/fill awesome prompts! Especially mine.

things I am capable of doing well, if not necessarily with great confidence:

Painting my nails twice in a week (they're pastel pink right now, which is great fun -- I've never used that colour before)

Reading James Burke books (though not more than a couple pages at once)

Getting my younger brother to like nonfiction (Bill Bryson!)

Buying my younger brother books he will like (Made In America by Bill Bryson, overdue from the library by about a month)

Independently acting in social situations (I went to lunch with my Japanese class + the first-year Japanese class, and had great fun!)

Paying for my own food at restaurants (. . . this should not really be an accomplishment, for all that I've only had to do it twice)

Surprising people with my age (People always go "What?!" when I tell them I'm under eighteen. It's super funny every time)

Getting someone I've known for an hour and a half to drive me home (My kouhai are super nice, y'all.)

still not writing this

Jin would be a unicorn, I think. Not sure if Mugen & Fuu would be Earth Ponies or Pegasi.

Fuu's Cutie Mark would have something to do with teahouses, dishes or some such. With little sword patterns on them.


Also no I did not just stay up an hour later than usual going on a Samurai Champloo icon binge. Nope. Not at all.
