I'm really not a fan of Twilight, but I'm convinced that there is a sexist element that contributes to how much effort some people go to bash it.

Oh, there ABSOLUTELY is. It's round 2087489q of 'womens and their silly romance stuff are ruining everything'. -- I mean, look at how much people hate boyband fans, chick flick fans, romance novel fans . . . it's all the same damn thing, right down to Nathanial Hawthorne and his 'damned mob of scribbling women'.
