Sometimes I just sit here and think 'wow, it's so weird that I'm nineteen now!' I mean, it's been seven months, but it still feels kinda strange. When I turned eighteen, it basically meant that I didn't have to worry about not being able to view people's dreamwidth entries. I mean, there are a lot of eighteen-year-olds in high school, you know?
But it somehow feels as though turning nineteen has put me out of the 'teenager' category and firmly into the 'young adult' one. I have a job, I get to file my own taxes this year, I'm actually attempting to apply to colleges. I've actually decided on a major. (well, two -- double in Japanese and Chinese, which is gonna be a pain in the ass but I actually want to go for it) What I'm attempting to say here is that, despite the fact that I spend more of my free time doing less productive things than ever, I feel like a real grown-up now. And that's weird, and I'm not sure if I like it.
(In some ways I totally do, though.)
