I don't think I will ever be able to properly explain how important Neo Queen Serenity is to me. She's so powerful and strong and elegant and wise, and she does wonderful and amazing things. She's a great queen, and a great person too. And when she finally wakes up from her healing sleep, it's as though you can hear the land shake . . . Like Chibi-Usa says, she's unreachable.
And that creates difficulties between her and her daughter, and puts a lot of pressure on her younger self. But the fact that she's amazingly, monstrously powerful is never, in itself, a bad thing. (I love the cyclical thing where Sailor Moon looks at her and thinks 'someday, I'll be her' and then Chibi-Usa looks at Sailor Moon and wonders 'will I be strong like that one day?') And when Sailor Moon finally gets the chance to meet her future self face-to-face, it's an absolutely beautiful moment.
Anyway, I have a lot of FEELINGS which I don't think I can ever really express coherently. And the little between-chapter doodles of Usagi and Chibi-Usa are so cute!
