So apparently the 'Kyouya sexually assaulting people for their own good' scene made it into the drama. WAY TO PARTICIPATE IN RAPE CULTURE, OURAN DRAMA STAFF.

I'm probably remembering the scene as less bad than it was, to preserve my happy-happy-joy-joy attitude towards Ouran, so this should be . . . interesting. I will probably watch the whole thing for completeness' sake, and then spend a good portion of time going ANGER ANGER FEMINIST RAGE SMASH. But I shall go into it forewarned, at least, and try to focus on Haruhi's reaction rather than Kyouya's reaction to her reaction.

Oh no! :-/ I spend a lot of time pretending very hard that scene does not exist so I can keep on liking Kyouya.

Oh, *bleep*--that happens?! I'm watching Ouran right now, and I find myself liking Kyouya. Though, I'm not all that surprised--he has a really, REALLY dark side. (I'm in the middle of the episode where he and Haruhi are at an expo, and he's said something about how he only does things if they benefit him personally).

Instead of watching the drama we're watching Tumbling, which is AMAAAAAZING & also features, coincidentally, the actors who play Tamaki & Kyouya.

I remember that scene! Was that the one where, right after he said that, he did something really nice that benefited him totally by accident? Because I know something like that was in the manga, at least.

It's kind of in character for him—wanting to help somebody but doing it in a totally asshole way—but damn do I wish I didn't have to warn people for that scene.

Yes. :/ He and Tamaki are the lighter versions of Touga and Saionji, I think, so I try to look at it that way. (Or alternatively: Kyouya, growing up, was often visited by his uncle-by-marriage, Akio.)
