I think I'm going to move to Dreamwidth for real now. I'll still keep up with everyone here, of course, and I don't think I'll be deleting anything just yet, but I just don't feel comfortable with Livejournal hosting so much of my content anymore.

And on that note:

rydra-wong's done some lovely Follow Friday posts which contain links to basically everything you need to know about switching from LJ to DW, and some very good comm recommendations. (Dreamwidth has some very lovely comms, by the way. Check out dw_community_promo for some more suggestions.)

Thanks for the links :) I'm still debating what to use my Dreamwidth and LJ accounts for (it seems to make more and more sense, at this point, to devote one for personal posts and the other for fandom, but I can't make up my mind which should be which). Good to know, though, that comms are flourishing on Dreamwidth. I hope I'll still see you around here sometimes! And may I friend you on Dreamwidth?

Yea, this recent FB/Twitter nonsense has caused me to completely F-lock my journal but even that won't really solve the problem. This was a bad move on the LJ staff's part.
