using utena icon for extra irony i guess

just heard about this from retrogrammartown.

I hate learning that stuff, it's like the creepy background music in a psychological horror movie, the creeping sensation that there's nothing, nothing, nothing safe -- you'll never have anything left that hasn't been ruined.

At some level I just don't want to know it, because it doesn't end at 'this artist did a shitty thing'; it makes you look at the things they made in that light, and knowing something you love has that behind it isn't a thing you can just stop thinking about. It follows you around forever, and some times in your life you will just turn around and think 'ikuhara kunihiko is transphobic and probably a rapist' and oh, there it goes.

This information is important to know about and be aware of; I just wish it wasn't.


so, artists! STOP BEING SHITTY PEOPLE SO I CAN LIKE YOUR STUFF IN PEACE. i guess.

oh, and I think I passed the HSK 4. not sure, b/c the listening part was difficult as always -- the way they exaggerate the tones makes it sound nothing like real conversation, and I have difficulty concentrating enough to catch everything in a real conversation anyway -- but the rest was really easy.
