YOGA.

I went for almost a week without doing yoga, and then today I went and it was really difficult and I was ridiculously sweaty the entire time, I had to cop out of a bunch of poses. :( But then we did shoulderstand at the end, and I remembered that one of my old teachers used to do a shoulderstand-plow-wheel sequence. A couple months ago I was super upset that I wasn't strong enough to do wheel anymore -- that might have been what prompted me to go find a yoga class again, I don't remember -- and so today I tried it. Being able to do it was just as awesome as I remembered! There's always this long stretched-out moment when you're not moving up and you're wondering if anything is even going to happen, and then everything clicks and the rest is easy. SO COOL. (If you've never done wheel, rest assured it's /not/ one of those poses where every second feels like about five years and your arms are shaking and you're always on the verge of collapsing into a heap of permanent injuries -- once you reach the threshold of arm strength necessary to get into the pose in the first place, everything is cake. Which is why I was devastated when I lost that.)

Also, I think when I get home I need to find a fat yoga teacher. My teachers here are great, but it's a simple fact that some styles of yoga are much, much easier for people who weigh forty kilos than those who weigh eighty. (On that subject, any of y'all have any tips on making things like hand-based balance poses easier?)
