(no subject)

Writing fic in general beyond "this happened and then she did this and then that caused something else" is usually so hard for me, I'm always (pleasantly) surprised when I manage to come up with a really cool sentence. I shouldn't be, I suppose, because pretty phrasing is what I'm good at (plot & structure not so much) but still it's like "Oh! That's how this writing thing works!"

Maybe if I read more poetry and things, it would happen more often? Or maybe I just need to spend more time practicing this sort of thing. Hmm. Advice?


(In related news, my Magical Girl exchange fic is finally going really well! Which is good, because the deadline is next week.)
