esmenet: a rainbow rose (rainbow rose)
06. What do you wish people reading your journal knew about you?

I think most of what I want people reading my journal to know about me can be found out by, erm, reading my journal.

Things I think you should know about me right now:

I've been lurking a lot lately, just because I don't have anything pressing to say. Well, and also I've been reading mostly on my iPod, which is not so fun for typing on.

So many plotbunnies, so little writing. Kaitou Kid in Paradigm City! Chrome laughing at Daemon Spade in Mukuro's head! Hermione BEING AWESOME. Journey to the West crossovers with everything!

I really want to read something in which Harry is like "Y'know, this sounds really weird, but I kinda want to be Snape when I grow up." I feel like I've read something like that before, but I could have just imagined it on the basis of HILARIAWESOME.

I finally finally finally finished my paper that is due tomorrow. Like, I could polish it up a little teensy bit more, add a couple panels from American Born Chinese in the footnotes, code the footnotes into actual footnotes instead of a notes page, but I could just hit print right now and be happy.

I really do take forever to write things. Maybe I can finish that letter tomorrow?

I have still not finished reading Hikaru no Go.

I really like mailing people things, like handwritten poems or folded cranes or bent playing cards, but my parents still don't trust my address-giving-out judgment. Someday I'll mail you all lovely things, I truly will. <3

You may have guessed this, but I really like memes! The typing-long-detailed-answers-to-questions kind, not the post-results-of-a-quiz kind. I like to talk (which I guess is a weird thing for a semi-lurker like me to say). Also, now that my paper is done, I have time to actually do them!

I will never get tired of saying HARII POTTAA TO KENJA NO ISHI in a very overblown way.

I don't finish the books I start nearly as often as I should.

I feel kind of guilty for not enjoying most stories with male main characters. I've been trying to read more books about female characters for the past couple of years; has that diminished my ability to like male ones? (And then I remember that no, it's just that the kind of books I like are generally about girls. Sorry, gritty realistic novels about people with lives they don't like! I need the time I could have spent with you for MAGICAL GIRLS.)

Summer, spring & fall >>>>>> winter, always.

I LOVE YOU ALL.

07. What is your favorite community on Dreamwidth?

[community profile] natsumeyuujinchou and [community profile] fic_promptly are tied for second, I think. I love them both a lot, because Natsume Yuujinchou is wonderful and so are its fans, and fic-promptly gives me a chance to write things for people with lots of inspiration and no pressure. But my favorite is probably [community profile] asexual_fandom, because even if I'm not always participating and it's mostly not my (animanga) crowd, it's wonderful to have a fannish place in which to be ALL ACE, ALL THE TIME. AVEN is great for the aceness, but not so much for a big fan like me, and [community profile] asexual_fandom always has something interesting going on, from a post on how to write ace sex scenes to asexual manifestos to promptfests.
